BOSTON -- The Mullin family was trying to regain a sense of normalcy Saturday-- and remembering lost Joanna -- at a Red Sox game. Joanna Mullin was kidnapped and murdered on August 5, allegedly by her cousin Ryan Bois. She was only six years old.

A murder suspect accused of raping and killing his 6-year-old cousin in Weymouth allegedly tried calling another suspected killer the night of the slaying in a bizarre twist to the case.

It has now emerged that, after Mullins was slain, Bois placed eight calls to alleged white supremacist James “Twisted” Winquist, also of Weymouth, who one month later was charged in the 2005 slaying of two homeless men.“

Ryan Bois attempted to place eight calls to James Winquist between 1 a.m. and the time of the police chase,” said David Traub, spokesman for Norfolk District Attorney William R. Keating.It is not known what connection Bois and Winquist had or why Bois tried calling him, Traub said.
