I am a very enthusiastic fan of Old Fart, because I like to laugh and I agree with him that the powerful are very often despicable

Well it's official - Texas Governor Rick Perry has finally admitted he can't solve the state's massive problems. So from now on, the official government policy in Texas is for everybody to pray. That's right - things are so bad in Texas, he literally needs Jesus to take over! He says "some problems are beyond our power to solve," From now on these things will be solved by praying to Jesus. Governor Perry will be holding a day of prayer on August 6th called "The Response" at a sports stadium in Houston. You know, it's a good thing all that Rapture crap didn't happen on May 21st, because Jesus would probably be way too busy right now, flying people up into the sky and all, to bother with Texas!

Our government today is run by and for the rich and powerful who lecture us about "sacrifice" and deficits while stealing our money for big corporations and themselves. A system so corrupt that rich executives and politicians can break the law without fear of ever being punished. Benefits of being in the ruling class -- and that's what it is -- a ruling class backed by the aristocracy and their interests. They fear nothing except being exposed for who they are, and what they're really up to. The battleground is clearly laid out: it's the big corporations and the elite rich against the rest of us. Anybody who says "we're broke" is lying. There's tons of money -- the rest of us just don't have any of it. The 400 richest people in America have as much money as ONE HALF of the US population combined - that means every one of those 400 people has as much wealth as 375,000 average Americans like me and you put together! The elite rich have never had it so good. Income disparity in America is worse than it is in some 3rd world countries! But THESE PEOPLE tell us we're the ones who have to make sacrifices.
