I declare my total astonishment at the Reaction of Thousands of Writers in the Internet, of Bloggers and TV People about what Mitt Romney call his "hijinks" ??
This saddens me and depresses me a lot. How can people be so insensitive to the feelings of others ??
How can people see something funny or how can they celebrate Mitt for this behavior of humiliation ??, of being an alpha male chimp humiliating the lower chimps ??
How can people ignore the fact that the personality of a human being is 99% formed at age 18. Mitt wasn't a baby or a child in kindergarten.
How can such behavior be a recommendation for someone in public office ??
Let's assume that we are in the poorest and most backward nation of this planet. Can we accept someone that has practiced these "Children's Pranks" or "Hijinks" as mayor of a poor town ??
Of course not, a mayor, even of a poor town in a poor nation is a representative of the community, of his values. And that requires some type of empathy and compassion. A mayor anywhere is someone that gives pride to the community as an example of Good Behavior, even at age 18.
These events in Romney's School may have happened one million years ago, or in the time of the cavemen and troglodytes and they are still important.
We can not give awards to those that assault others, for money, for power, for prestige, or for just fun. That is very clear to me.
It does not matter if you are gay, lesbian, transgender or not, it is unimportant if you are rich or poor, if you were assaulted or not, your political affiliation is of no interest. It is unimportant your personal psychological history, your family and milieu.
A person that commits these despicable actions is perfectly unacceptable. Even in the most backward nation, and in the poorest town.
I think of this behavior as something that happens in the worst prisons, with the worst scoundrels.
